Duties and Responsibilities
Lead and oversee the Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) department across all laboratories, ensuring full compliance with legal, regulatory, and international standards such as ISO, the Nuclear and Radiological Regulatory Commission (NRRC), and Saudi Aramco requirements.
Supervise daily operations and delegate tasks within the team, ensuring operational efficiency and alignment with organizational goals in quality, safety, health, and environment.
Design, develop, and update QHSE systems in alignment with the organization’s strategic plan, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and approved regulations.
Develop and improve core laboratory processes to enhance overall performance and operational efficiency.
Define Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), monitor performance, and take corrective actions when required in coordination with senior management.
Promote a strong culture of safety and quality at all organizational levels through awareness campaigns, training programs, and motivational initiatives.
Review emergency cases and ensure implementation of corrective and preventive actions to maintain a safe working environment.
Develop and update emergency response and crisis management plans and conduct regular drills across all sites to ensure readiness.
Manage available resources effectively to ensure performance quality and sustainable operations.
Recruit and train technical team members to ensure efficient and professional execution of tasks.
Build strong relationships with clients and suppliers to ensure satisfaction and achieve organizational objectives.
Analyze incident and non-conformance data to identify trends and root causes, and propose improvements to enhance laboratory performance.
Provide administrative and technical support to remote branches and sites to ensure consistent implementation of policies and procedures.
Participate in organizational strategic planning and integrate quality objectives into the company’s long-term vision and goals.
Review proficiency testing (PT) and interlaboratory comparison (ILC) results and ensure timely corrective actions where required.
Ensure proper authority and formal delegation to address deviations and nonconformities, while overseeing the effectiveness of corrective actions to ensure continual improvement of the management system.
